Pro Templates Now Available for CorelDRAW
I was reading a magazine at the end of last year and I saw an ad for a company called StockLayouts that made some high-quality templates. I visited the Web site and downloaded the files they had for CorelDRAW users. While the design aspect of the template was great, the execution in the downloaded file left room for improvement.
Within a couple of days I contacted the fine folks at StockLayouts and talked to them about making native CorelDRAW files of their templates and about some things they could do to make them even more useful. Over the next couple of months we bounced ideas back and forth.
The great news is that their first native CorelDRAW templates are now available. They sent me the CDs and I've had a chance to open various files and play with them. These are definitely the best templates I've ever seen. Each file not only contains all of the graphic elements that give the template a very pleasing design, they also contain high resolution stock photos relevant to the design. Text boxes are supplied so all you'll need to do is plug in the relevant text. Of course you can modify the graphic elements as well. Or you could substitute your own pictures. I would do some of those things just to customize the template a bit and give it a bit of my own flair (for good or bad). This isn't something you need to do. These templates truly are plug and play. They will inspire your creativity and allow you to give your clients a really great looking piece of design in a minimal amount of time.
Templates can be purchased separately. Or you can simply buy collections on a CD. Obviously the CD costs a bit more, but it includes a number of templates. Over time, it is definitely the better value.
