Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta to be released in just a few hours
Adobe has announced that they will make a beta version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 available for download sometime in the early hours of December 15th (Pacific time). That is just a few hours from now.
The main reason for this beta is to introduce a Universal Binary for the Mac platform that is optimized for both the old processors and Intel processors. So that Windows users aren't left out of the testing, a Windows version will also be released that is optimized for Windows XP and Vista.
Now for the tricky part. In order to use the betas, you will need a serial number from Adobe Photoshop CS2, the Creative Suite CS2 or other bundles with Adobe Photoshop CS2. If you don't have a serial number, the beta will expire in two days.
The final release is due in Spring 2007 and the beta will expire around that time. OK, point your browsers at Adobe and start downloading.
