Feature Requests
There are always people saying that they would like to see a particular feature in CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT. They also wonder how they can make sure that Corel hears their request. Of course, Corel is always looking for new ideas and they wonder just how many people are interested in a particular idea.
In order to make the process as smooth as possible, we have created a new discussion forum where you can post your requests. Once you have posted a request, other users can comment on it. I'll even create polls so that we can get votes on how many people are interested in each feature request.
Now for the most important part. Corel will be following the forum to get ideas for future versions. This is no guarantee that the features requested will be included, but they will certainly be added to the idea list and I'm sure some of them will be included.
Go ahead, visit the forum and start giving Corel great ideas!

Because pc's are now stable (yes !)and offer much more power, what we need now is :
1. The complete integration of the text and masterpage functions of Ventura 10 (it's so powerful). Corel is going nowhere with that software. At least, we could use style sheet, masterpage, etc... Even in X3, text function are so poorly designed. Despite those shortcomings, I use them all the time doing 12 or 24 pages magazines. So much faster than using Ventura or Indesign.
2. The complete rewrite of the « Publish to pdf ». I want to use the full capabilities of the printing engine of Corel with imposition, etc... Wont print the right imposition. I have to prepare it reassembling the pages...
That's all for now
1. A table tool, able to dynamically create & modify cells at any time.
2. Multiple attribute stack. Ability to apply multiple lines & fills to the same object, transform them and change stacking order. Freehand & Illustrator have had this ability for ages.
3. External graphic & text style sheets, just like CSS. Modify just the style sheet and have it cascade through multiple .cdrs.
4. Proper image proxy linking that searches recursively through a folder, so my print bureau doesn’t have to re-link EVERY SINGLE ONE! Use relative rather than absolute image linking, Corel!
5. Elliptical gradients as opposed to just circular. Sounds trivial, but is actually a major help in illustration – I use it all the time in Freehand, because DRAW can’t do it without a blend.
6. Auto numbering of pages in a document.
7. Clear support for OpenType’s extended character sets. Optical text layout engine like InDesign.
If Corel does all this, no other drawing package will be able to touch DRAW.
