Weekend Widget: Bibble Pro
Only a few more hours and the Norwegian Star will once again be docked in Long Beach and the CorelDRAW Unleashed Boot Camp Cruise will be over. One aspect of the training was having each student take pictures during the cruise and we combined those all into a slideshow with ProShowProducer. I'll talk more about it in a future post, but I'll give you a link to a discount coupon now if you want to get a copy.
Our focus today is Bibble Pro. If you are shooting photos in RAW format, Bibble is an amazing tool for processing those photos and outputting as TIF or JPG for use in other software. If you have the CorelDRAW X4 Graphics Suite, you have RAW processing built-in. My testing has shown it to do a good job, but it can be painfully slow if you have a number of images to convert.
That's where Bibble Pro comes into play. It is fast. A few days ago I got to see the soon to be released Bibble Pro 5 and it takes the speed up several notches. Holy cow was it fast! Not only does it do it fast, it uses all processors in your computer. Compared to all other RAW processing software, the speed is much faster.
It also does a great job of adjusting your images to give you the best quality. Now you might wonder why you should buy the current version when a new version is due in the near future. The folks at Bibble Labs have been very clear that all users of the current version will get a free upgrade to Bibble Pro 5. Another new feature is that the interface has been updated and looks really sharp. I can't wait to get my hands on it. For now, I'll continue to use Bibble Pro 4 as it does a great job in less time than using Corel's RAW Lab.
