Tutorial Tuesday: Parallel Lines

I remember attending a presentation done by someone at Corel many years ago. In it, they described how a feature goes from a request to the drawing board to part of CorelDRAW. The feature used as an example was drawing parallel lines. Yet no such feature exists in the program to this day. Note that I didn't say it couldn't be done. Jeff Harrison put together a quick video tutorial that shows you how it is done. Even better, you can edit the lines after drawing them.

Several users have reported having a problem watching the video referred to in this post. For me, it works just fine in the browser window. If you find it isn't working for you, right-click on the link to the video and save it to your desktop. Then open it in Windows Media Player.

Couldn't watch it from the browser, but saving it worked fine.

A very nice tute, thank you.

Another way to achieve the same thing would be to 1-Draw the lines. 2-Combine them. 3- Convert outline to object. 4- Fill with white and make the outline black at any point size desired. This creates only one object.
