E-Mail Subscribers to Get Post Titles in E-Mail Subject
I've had a number of e-mail subscribers ask me if I could include the title of blog posts in the e-mail subject line. Starting with the e-mails going out on July 22, 2009 there will be post titles included. As an example, the subject will read "Graphics Unleashed: Blog Post Title". Where things get tricky is how this is handled on days where I have more than one post. In those situations, the last post made will be used in the title and the subject will indicate how many more posts are included.
Remember, you will get no more than a single e-mail per day that includes all posts made since the previous e-mail. Typically I post only once a day. Maybe two or three times each month I'll post more than once a day.
For those who aren't already receiving the daily digest e-mails, you can subscribe by providing an e-mail address. This address is only used for the blog digests and will never be used by anyone else for anything. The same changes have been made to Jeff Harrison's Daily Diversion blog. If you aren't already subscribing to Jeff's blog, you can also subscribe via e-mail and again your address won't be used by anyone else for anything.
While I'm discussing changes, there have also been some changes made on the Graphics Unleashed Web site that will make it easier for you to find the information you need. The navigation bar that resides at the top of each page of the site now includes a "Search Site" box. Type in your search words and press the button to get all results for that term on the unleash.com site. We've also added a button just below the navigation bar that makes it very easy for you to bookmark or share the page you are viewing. That includes sending the page to Facebook, putting it on Twitter, Digging it, e-mailing to friends, printing it and much more. I hope that you find both of these changes to be useful.
