Graphics Unleashed Discussion Forums Upgraded and Improved
I've already told you that we upgrade the server powering unleash.com and coreldrawunleashed.com a couple of weeks ago. Now we have upgraded our discussion forums and we think you'll appreciate the changes.
We've been using Web Wiz Forums for a couple of years now. It is completely free, but only if you agree to allow them to run ads in the forums. We used the free version until now. So the first thing you'll notice is that the ads are gone. Yes, we still have ads on the site, but not within the forum posts themselves.
We've had a number of requests from users to have the ability to upgrade images for their forum posts. I tried several things and there was always an error of some sort. Everything should be straightened out now and you can finally upload your own avatar, graphics for your post or even a small sample file.
There has been one other recurring problem. Users going to the Graphics Unleashed Discussion Forums with Internet Explorer have trouble placing their cursor in the boxes for their logon information. This problem only happens in Internet Explorer and not in any other browser. My first suggestion is to use Firefox! Not only does it solve this problem; but you'll also find it to be faster, more secure and it follows Web standards better. Yes, we'll continue to try and find a solution for Internet Explorer but nothing we've tried has been successful and it could be something beyond our control. Another suggestion would be to use Roboform. It keeps track of logon information for all the sites you visit and locks that information behind one master password. This means you don't have to memorize a bazillion different passwords. I've been using it for a couple of years and find it invaluable.
Lastly you'll notice that the overall look of the forums has changed slightly as well. We are still using one of the default templates supplied by WebWiz and will investigate personalizing the look a little bit more.
