Weekend Widget: TweakVI
No matter which version of Windows you use, they are so many settings buried beneath the surface that there is no way for anyone to know about all the changes. That's where a utility like TweakVI comes into play.
TweakVI is designed to tweak the settings and optimize Windows Vista. Yes, that's right, it is only for Vista. Microsoft has a similar utility, Tweak UI for previous versions of Windows. TweakVI comes in three different versions. The Basic version is completely free. Premium and Ultimate versions add even more features and tweaks, but they have a cost associated. I've found the Basic version meets my needs just fine. It is simple enough to upgrade if you should find you need features only in the Premium and Ultimate versions.
