Although the title of this article doesn’t sound too impressive, the methods proposed here can lead to some very impressive animation sequences within Flash. Our purpose is to get an object to move around another object in such a way as to look like it’s going both in front of and behind an object (Figure 1 says it even better). We’ll show how this is done by using simple shapes but realize that the same technique can be used on complex raster and/or vector graphics once they are in Flash. Our focus, though, will be on method (learn it once, use it many different ways).
