Corel Software Usage Survey Results

The survey has its roots in a conversation that took place in the corel.graphic_apps.draw10 newsgroup.

"FWIW, most of the users of the Graphics Suite use it as a primary source of income generation though Graphic Design."

"Is this derived from a formal survey? Actually I'd welcome a survey of the members right here, along the lines of ... [draft questionnaire]."

In less than 12 hours, people started answering KNP's post with data. This posed a logistical quandary. Foster Coburn of Graphics Unleashed, who had been quietly observing from a distance, made a generous offer of the use of his site. KNP agreed, then hurriedly polished the questions, wrote the help text and forwarded the lot to Foster. Within the hour, Foster had the survey up and running, including the engine in the background that would automatically forward all incoming data to KNP.

Affiliations:

The survey was a private initiative, completely independent of Corel Corporation. It was not driven by any commercial interests. Its intention was purely to inform the users.

First up is downloading the file. If you click directly on the link, the PDF file will be loaded into the Acrobat Reader plug-in. This will cause problems as you won't be able to save the file. To save the PDF file on disk, right-click on the link below and choose Save Link As (for Netscape Navigator users) or Save Target As (for Microsoft Internet Explorer users) from the pop-up menu that appears.
