Many times throughout your career you will be presented with a logo in a format or resolution un- acceptable for use in the project at hand. Usually it is in a JPEG or GIF format and with a very low resolution. This leaves you with a couple options; try to get a correct image format, use the logo as is or re-create the logo from scratch. This tutorial will cover steps for re-creating a low resolution bitmap logo into a workable vector image. These steps are specific to the logo in this tutorial yet a similar approach will work with most logos.
This tutorial will start with the logo below that was supplied as a low quality bitmap.
