I suspect the reason most of you are reading these articles is because you
consider yourselves lacking a bit in the creative department. Be that as it
may, you are to be complimented for having the good sense to know where to
go for help! In this article, we'll look at Corel's pre-designed logos,
(a.k.a. the Symbols Library) where there are hundreds of logos just waiting
to be discovered. I like to think of these pre-designed logos (symbols) as
the fashion equivalent of ready-to-wear, or off-the-rack clothing. And if
you can accept the notion of symbols being like ready-to-wear clothing,
then you can think of what I'm about to show you as fashion accessories.
The fashionable little numbers that I'm using today to designate the different
logo designs, come from a font called Rennie Macintosh Ornaments and is available
from EyeWire Studios (formerly Adobe Studios and Image Club Graphics)
http://www.eyewire.com. The ornaments, and
font of the same name, are based on the architectural drawings and hand lettering
of architect Rennie Macintosh and have nothing to do whatsoever with that other
computer platform, as they were designed around the early 1920s, more than a few
years before that other computer platform was a computer platform.
