As an additional comment, the area where the images are displayed inline in the forums is 590px in width (from memory). You can attach larger files, but there is a limitation for the files to be displayed inline. The other limitation is based on the file size (128kb from memory).

Thanks for the post. I did another test to be sure, and it seems that 600 is allowed as max. See my test here:

Just checked the configuration and I the file size limit is actually 256kb (currently) with following file types being allowed: jpg, gif, png, txt, cdr, cpt, des, gms, cmx, pat, cdt, cpl, wpd, qpw, pdf and emb. Files in jpg, gif or png will be displayed inline with a maximum width of 600px (no maximum height).
