When it comes to cordless optical mice, Logitech has the bases covered. If you have been looking for a mouse and want the basics, then this version fits that bill. While it does include the most important features, the Cordless Click is a slightly slimmed down version of the Cordless Click Plus. The differences between the two have to do with design and the exclusion of a feature. In terms of quality and function, they are close.
With the exception of the dual silver and blue tones of the Cordless Click Plus, and the forward and backward buttons as well as the curving sides, there is very little to differentiate the two models on a significant level. On the important fronts like ease of use, set up and comfort, both are on nearly equal ground. The Plus does have a slight advantage when held in the hand, but no so great that it is to the determent of this unit.
What ultimately sets them apart aside from the shape are price and the forward and backward buttons on the side. There is also a ten dollar price point separation between the two models.
If you can live without those features, and the feel of the Cordless Click is acceptable, this is really a solid deal. The actual feel and use of the two models are similar. Both are responsive, easy to set up and look good.
The Cordless Click comes in a two tone silver that is very subtle. It is hard to tell that it even comes with two color values. The base is solid black. As an added bonus, the package comes complete with two double A batteries and basically everything you need to get up and going.
The big choice for consumers with this model breaks down to feel and price. Depending on what you can live with, and live without, this model could serve your needs well.
Coming in with everything you need, software, guide book and two batteries, Logitech has come up with a cordless mouse that includes the basics, as well as throwing in an application switch button. While just ten dollars more offers you more, there is little missed with this very well considered mouse. For budget minded shoppers and those that do not need a lot of bells and whistles on their mice, this is a solid solution.
