short description
Product Description
Plunge this 6-inch meat fork into a roast, chicken, turkey, ham, or corned beef, lift it to a serving platter or cutting board, then hold it firmly in place while carving precisely. It also retrieves baked potatoes from the oven. Henckels' International Classic is a moderately priced cutlery line made in countries other than the company's home of Germany. The steel is of lesser quality than that used in its premier lines. Also, the handles are narrower and shallower--a feature those with small hands might appreciate. Unlike most Classic products, this fork is stamped, not forged. While it is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. --Fred Brack

Product Description
Fully forged from a single piece of German high-carbon stainless steel, this 6-inch fork has slender prongs that spread outward and sharp points for firmly grasping a roast, chicken, or turkey so it can be carved, for picking up and serving slices, and for turning over meat in the kitchen or on an outdoor grill. For balance and strength, a full tang runs through the handle, which is formed of hygienic, fiberglass-reinforced poly that won't crack, split, or chip and is attached to the tang with the traditional three rivets. Because the fork is stainless steel it won't rust, stain, or discolor. The fork pairs perfectly with Calphalon's 8-inch and 10-inch slicing knives and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
Product Description
From Calphalon Knives comes this 6-in. Fork - part of their Traditional Cutlery line. Calphalon 6-in. Fork Full tang design provides better balance and superior strength. One piece forging of blade bolster and tang for long-lasting durability. No parts to separate. Triple-riveted fiberglass-reinforced poly resin handle ensures the highest standards of quality and hygiene. Will not absorb moisture crack split or chip. Will not support bacteria growth. High carbon no-stain German steel from tip to tang. Sharpens more easily than ordinary stainless and maintains its edge longer. Resists rust stains discoloration. Extra-long heavy duty tines Lifetime warranty A carving fork serves two essential purposes: to hold foods steady as you slice them and to keep hands a safe distance from the slicing knife. Ours is designed with extra-long heavy-duty tines and full-tang construction to help you keep even the largest roasts firm against your cutting board as you carve. That's the key to taking perfect even slices every time! Some people carve by holding the fork securely against the roast; others are more comfortable actually piercing the roast with the tines. Either way our extra-rigid fork gives you all the leverage you need. Remember to allow roasts to rest before carving --particularly if you use the piercing method-- to preserve your roast's natural juiciness. Use the fork to serve meats and poultry as well --whether from a platter or directly onto your guests' plates.
