This charcoal filter is for the JDS Air Tech 8 12 and 10 16 models and will eliminate gases, odors, chemicals, and other fumes. It replaces the diffusing filter on the back of the unit. By installing the charcoal filter downstream from the particulate trapping filters, only clean air passes through the charcoal filter, which enhances the performance and extends the life of the activated charcoal. The average life of this filter ranges from 2 to 4 months, when used regularly. The actual life of the filter will depend on the amount of gases and fumes created each day.
