Product Description
The world's favorite plumber makes his first appearance (along with playable characters Luigi, Peach, and Toad) on the Game Boy Advance, and, for the most part, Mario's arrival is welcome indeed. Super Mario Advance is primarily a slightly tweaked port of Super Mario Bros. 2, the (still) very popular side scroller from the days of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). So expect plenty of running, jumping, and hurling of items at many a foe. The game's graphics and sound have been a given a nice overhaul from the original game, and are clear and bright enough to please old-school and new fans alike. While Nintendo did a good job shrinking the visuals down to handheld size, the tiny GBA screen can get very busy at times, making accidental death due to sometimes less-than-precise controls frustratingly frequent--at least in the beginning. Most gamers should overcome such mishaps with a little patience. Also included is the still fun, if forgettable, original Mario Bros. game from many eons ago. Up to four players can engage in a coin-collecting battle mode or the classic mode. Super Mario Advance isn't the game to show off the power of the GBA, but it is a long, fun title that will satisfy today's gamers with a taste from the best of Mario's past. --Mark Brooks Pros: One of the best NES games is faithfully ported Upgraded sound and graphics Gameplay is easy to get into Cons: Somewhat loose controls Neither fresh nor original for those who've played the NES version

Product Description
In Mario's debut on the Game Boy Advance platform, the swashbuckling plumber goes back to what he knows best: side-scrolling adventure. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad wander this richly colored fantasyland to fight new and original enemies by collecting items to throw at them (alas, the famous jump attack isn't enough to dissuade these foes). Players are allowed to choose which character they'll play as--you can even switch between levels--and each in the cast has different strengths. For example, Luigi can jump higher than his brother, Mario, but the plumber is faster. Super Mario Advance also has a multiplayer game where up to four Game Boy Advance units can be linked together via the separately sold communication cable, allowing you to wage friendly battles for collectible coins using Koopa shells.

Product Description
Yoshi's Island: Super Mario 3 puts you in control of Yoshi for his wildest new adventure! You can even connect with three friends in a multi-player game of Mario Bros.
Product Description
Oh no! It looks like your granddad was right--things really were better in the old days. At least they were if you liked 2-D platform games, and Yoshi's Island is indisputably one of the best ever made. Yoshi's Island goes back in time to recount the touching story of the various Yoshis' attempts to unite Baby Mario with his parents. You don't actually control the Italian plumber-to-be but instead his dinosaur pal, who has the curious ability to eat his enemies and then immediately turn them into eggs, which he can then fling at more enemies. Since Yoshi isn't particularly fast and can float in midair for a few seconds after making a jump, the whole dynamics of the normal Mario gameplay have changed, but the same incredible attention to detail and endless imagination that mark all of Nintendo's best efforts are still here in full effect. In fact they're joined this time, after the rather plain-looking prequel, by some wonderful pastel-shaded graphics that were jaw-dropping when the game was originally released in 1995 and still manage to impress now. As with the other Super Mario Advance titles, this game also contains a four-player version of the original Mario Bros. arcade game, making it even more of a bargain than it already was. --David Jenkins, Amazon.co.uk

Product Description
ALL CLASSICS THE GREATEST ARCADE GAME OF ALL TIME
Product Description
Nothing lends itself better to portable gaming than the arcade classics. They're addictive, replayable, and fun--plus it's nice not to have to pump endless streams of quarters into them. That's what makes Namco Museum such a must-have title for the Game Boy Advance system. People too young, or too impatient, to enjoy a good coin-op had better stop reading now. Like the PlayStation and N64 versions, Namco has packed a few of its best games onto the cartridge. For the GBA we get only five titles (four are listed on the front of the box, but Galaxian is also included). We have two versions of Ms. Pac-Man (one that shows the whole maze but is dreadfully small, and another that scrolls), Galaga, Pole Position, and Dig Dug. They are lovingly ported, complete with all the music and sound effects intact. What we don't get is the amusing Museum portion and trivia found on other versions. Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga are the real winners here. Both are perfect renditions complete with all the extras (music, colors, sound effects, and bonus stages/cartoons). The controls on these two are also perfect. Pole Position is amusing, but features twitchy controls and pales in comparison to other GBA racing games. Galaxian, on the surface, seems the same as its sequel, Galaga, but it isn't. The fire rate is much slower, so the pace of the game is different. Galaga is certainly better, but Galaxian is a nice addition regardless. Dig Dug is a classic, pure and simple, and it still plays well. It rounds out the collection nicely. Arcade fans, especially those who used to line up (or line their quarters on the machine) to play these games, will be very pleased with Namco Museum. Those unimpressed with retro gaming probably won't be converted. However, here's hoping we see more arcade classics in the future, because I can't think of a better platform for these than the Game Boy Advance. --Andrew S. Bub Pros: - Perfect recreations of arcade classics
- A nice, diverse slate of games
- Nice of them to include two versions of Ms. Pac-Man
Cons: - Pole Position isn't so hot anymore
- No Museum features, such as trivia questions
Product Description
With Namco Museum you can play arcade favorites on the new Game Boy Advance. Four Namco greats are included in this cartridge: classic maze game Ms. Pac-Man, dig-your-own-maze title Dig Dug, old-school racer Pole Position, and quintessential arcade shooter Galaga. Gamers old enough to remember when each of these titles used to require a full-size arcade cabinet will delight in the easy portability, instant access, and classic gameplay.

Dragons never seem to have had it too easy. They have always had to worry about dragon slayers, plus they usually get a bad rap for being destructive, and let's not even get started on what people say about their breath! Fortunately Spyro has generally avoided such negative opinions, but then again he hasn't always had it easy either. You'd think that after several death-defying adventures on the Playstation over the past few years, which included the defeat of the evil Sorceress, Spyro and his friends would be able to take some time off and enjoy a bit of a vacation at Dragon Shores. But with evil brewing and a new title on the way for the GameBoy Advance, which is due out in November, the gang shouldn't get too comfortable on the beach.

Pac Man Collection GBA
Product Description
If you're still suffering the lingering effects of Pac-Man fever, you'll be excited to hear that Namco's Pac-Man Collection repackages the infectious original with three other Pac-Man-themed games in a new anthology for the Game Boy Advance. Pac-Man Collection contains the original Pac-Man, plus Pac-Attack, PacMania 3D, and the never-before-seen-out-of-the-arcade Pac-Man Arrangement game. Pac-Man plays like you remember, and like Namco Museums's picture perfect re-creation of Ms. Pac-Man, it features spot-on control, graphics, cartoon cutscenes, sound effects, and, best of all, music from the coin-op (who can forget that opening theme?). As such, it's easily the best of this collection. PacMania 3D is basically a 3-D version of the original, and is just about as uninspired now as when it came out. Pac-Attack is a cool variation on such puzzlers as Tetris and Columns, and as such it's perfect for handheld gaming. Pac-Man Arrangement is an odd little game that plays much like the original but adds weird power-ups that, for example, make you gigantic. Because Pac-Man Collection is a perfectly emulated package, there isn't much to gripe about, save that Ms. Pac-Man is a far, far better game than the original, and you'll have to shell out more money if you want that one. But for retro gamers on the go who also want to track down ghosts and eat power pills, this package is sure to sate your hunger. --Andrew S. Bub Pros: - Perfect graphics and sound
- Perfect controls
- Pac-Attack is a fun Tetris variant
Cons: - It's missing the best Pac game, Ms. Pac-Man
- Pac-Man Arrangement and PacMania 3D aren't really great games

Product Description
Three months have passed since the Internet crime organization World Three was defeated by Lan and his virus-busting pal, Mega Man.exe. Just as the world begins to feel safe, a new threat rears its digital head: an evil Internet syndicate called the Net-Mafia Gospel. Will Lan and Mega Man be up to this new challenge? The gameplay of Mega Man: Battle Network 2 is almost identical to the first game--it's an isometric RPG with a kickin' battle system. You spend half the time in the "real world" as Lan, and the other half in the Internet as the antivirus program Mega Man.exe. Solving puzzles and getting power-ups (and, of course, fighting baddies) are the core of this game. The crowning glory of Mega Man: Battle Network 2 is its battle system. The arcade-style battles are still in real time, but there are some significant changes since the first game. Mega Man doesn't automatically regain his health after a battle--he needs to find special chips to fully recover. Also, there are now four battle styles from which Mega Man can choose (heat, aqua, wood, or electricity) depending on the type of chips he collects. These chip types affect Mega Man's effectiveness against different enemies. The battle screens have also changed; unique terrains now make battles more varied. And now there are more than 200 chips to collect! The plot in Mega Man: Battle Network was a little shallow, and seemed geared toward a younger crowd. While Battle Network 2 is also rated E, it has a darker, fuller story--and with an enemy like the Net-Mafia Gospel (which has to be the coolest gang name I've ever heard), the story becomes a compelling enhancement to the game. Mega Man: Battle Network 2 comes through with some refreshing refinements to all the good features of the original game, making it a must-have for any Mega Man or RPG fan. --Bryan Karsh Pros: - Mega Man changes appearance depending on which battle style he adopts
- Players trade chips via link cable, or fight a friend for them instead!
Cons: - The story may be confusing if you haven't played the first game
Product Description
The second title in the Mega Man cyber-role-playing-game series, Mega Man: Battle Network 2 puts an emphasis on puzzle-solving and turn-based combat. In the game, Mega Man is back and in mega trouble. There's a new Net crime organization in town, and its computer hacking has created a computer virus that's quickly gaining momentum. It's up to Mega Man and his pal Lan to join the Net-battlers and win the new cyberstruggle by defeating viruses, battling bosses, and solving problems. This new futuristic franchise features an advanced battle system that allows gamers to change the look of Mega Man based on his or her playing style. Mega Man can use battle chips not only as weapons in battle, but also to replenish his health, help escape a jam, or perform special attacks. Sophisticated tournament-style battles and chip trading via the link cable add to the game's replay value by enticing players to experiment with different combinations of battle chips to find the ultimate one-two punch.

Jump, glide and tongue-flick through 15+ levels in 5 different environments. A cartoonish action/platform game with an element of puzzle solving, Frogger expands on simple, yet addictive gameplay to catch players of all ages.
Product Description
Originally released in 1981 by Konami, the Frogger arcade game is considered an all-time classic. Since then the property has been transferred to several owners, many of which tarnished the Frogger tradition. Now, back in Konami's hands, the little green fellow brings back everything people loved about the original arcade game, but with a modern twist. Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog pits Frogger against the evil Mr. D, who has stolen the mystical elements that nourish the hero's marsh. Frogger must make his way through 15 levels spanning six environments in order to find the elements. After every few levels, he must engage in a boss fight. Like in the arcade original, Frogger spends most of his time hopping left, right, up, and forward, but in this version he must deal with more than moving cars and snapping crocodiles. The game's levels feature all sorts of perils, such as mazelike conveyer belts, spiked floors, and crumbling platforms. There are also 32 different types of enemies standing in his way. Among the few downsides of the game are its short length, the lack of variety-adding options, and the fact that the coin system that allows you to reach the last level is easy to fool. This is a great example of how to properly update a classic. The simple gameplay of the original Frogger is intact, but the developers have added clever levels, bright graphics, and modern game mechanics to the mix. This game is sure to please longtime Frogger fans, as well as create some new ones. --Raymond M. Padilla Pros: - Easy-to-learn gameplay
- Levels add a new twist to classic Frogger moves
- Four in-game save slots
Cons: - Lack of options
- A bit short
- Coin system is easy to cheat
Product Description
Frogger: The Great Quest focuses on a younger Frogger, who must journey to the center of the Temple of the Frog to search for the hidden secrets needed to bring his dying swampland home back to life. Jump, glide, and tongue-flick through 15-plus levels in five different environments. A cartoonish action-platform game with an element of puzzle solving, Frogger: The Great Quest offers detailed enhancements on the original formula of simple yet addictive gameplay.

This Game Boy Advance adventure from 2001 picks up when Harry Potter enters his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, following almost every important detail of the story's exploits. The troll "invasion", the Quiddich match, the earning of House Points...it's all here. The Game Boy Advance version is distinctly different from the Game Boy Color version also released, as this edition is more of a adventure/puzzle game than the Game Boy Color's roleplaying game design.
Product Description
What if you could leave the nonmagical world of the Muggles behind and enroll in Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft? Now you can find out in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the Game Boy Advance. Play as Harry, the precocious wizard, and adventure with 20 amazing characters from the J.K. Rowling book that started it all. Master your wizardry skills as you work through your first year at Hogwarts. Each term offers new and exciting challenges, such as piloting a broomstick through the Forbidden Forest, learning to cast spells and mix potions, scoring house points for Gryffindor, and more. You'll have to work hard to succeed--there are 29 different objectives to complete, as well as obstacles and enemies to avoid. Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Rubeus Hagrid, Albus Dumbledore, and 16 other unforgettable characters from the book join Harry in chasing down Hagrid's runaway pets, taking flight to compete at Quidditch, navigating the maze of Gringotts, and completing other adventurous scenarios. Along with the school and its grounds, you'll explore Diagon Alley, Privet Drive, the Forbidden Forest, and more. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone offers colorful 2-D graphics that render the action-driven puzzles and minigames in spirited detail. And as Harry, you'll experience the daring and fun of life at Hogwarts, as well as the awesome responsibility of finally finding the Sorcerer's Stone and challenging He-Who-Cannot-Be-Named.
