Neon--Make Corel PHOTO-PAINT Glow!
Cactus--A Prickly Text Effect in Corel PHOTO-PAINT
Creating Seamless Tiles with Corel PHOTO-PAINT's Image Sprayer Tool
In a Nutshell: I am a German born in Greece (1968), who has lived mainly in Germany, Greece, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico and Slovakia.
I worked as an instructor for several programs including MS-DOS, Lotus 123, Quattro Pro and WordPerfect in the pre-Windows era -I was still very young then.
But I did not touch graphic programs until much later. My first serious graphics program was CorelDRAW 5 which I learned with a CorelDRAW 4 book (in German). My results were modest to say the least.
Then Corel PHOTO-PAINT 7 and 8 came along and then there was the Internet with all it's graphic potential. (When I used the Internet at the university, graphical browsers did not exist)
Anyhow I learned HTML on the fly and started creating my own graphics and buttons (with Corel PHOTO-PAINT). I specialize in Web graphics.
Soon I realized that it was impossible to memorize everything you could do with Corel PHOTO-PAINT. There were just too many options and too many settings. (Compared to MS-DOS where parameters were easy to remember.)
So I started to take notes of how I created certain effects.
The results are tutorials, which I sincerely hope will help others to take full advantage of the powerful instruments that Corel Corporation gave us.
I am no award winning artist or known designer but I have been told to have a good sense of colors and aesthetics.
I co-own a slovak internet service company since 1997.
