1. Create a new image, Color mode: 24-bit RBG color, Paper color: White, 450 x 200 pixels at 72 dpi
2. Make 'Forest Green' your 'Paint' color.
Find the color named 'Forest Green' in the color palette and left-click it.
3. Choose the "Text Tool" and write the word "Cactus" with Font: Arial Black, Font Size: 150, Bold
4. Center the newly created Object.
Press the "Align Object(s)" button to open the 'Align & Distribute' window or
[Object] / [Arrange] / [Align & Distribute] or (CTRL-A) and choose: "To Center of Document", Press OK.
5. With the "Cactus" Object selected: Choose [Effects] / [2D Effects] / [Ripple]
In the Ripple window:
Click the "Reset" button
Choose Ripple mode: Dual wave 1:1
Enable "Distort ripple"
Adjust Period:10, Amplitude:1, Direction angle:90
Press OK to apply effect
6. Create a mask from the text.
Press the "Create Mask" button or [Mask] / [Create from Objects] or (CTRL-M)
7. Select the "Paint Tool" and open the "Tools Settings" Roll-up.
To open the "Tools Settings" Roll-up: Double Click on the "Paint Tool"
or [View] / [Roll-Ups] / [Tool Settings] or (CTRL-F8)
8. In the "Tool Settings" Roll-up:
Choose the "Art Brush"
Change the nib to the 'star'

In the third tab (Dab attributes) set Number of dabs: 2, Spacing: 50 Spread: 8
9. Stroke with the "Art Brush" in the middle of the mask border.
With the "Paint Tool" selected choose [Edit] / [Stroke] / [Stroke Mask]
In the "Chose Stroke Position" window select: "Middle of Mask Border".
Press OK to apply.
10. Remove the mask
Press the "Remove mask" button or [Mask] / [Remove] or (CTRL-Shift-R)
11. Emboss the modified text.
Select [Effects] / [3D Effects] / [Emboss]
Click the "Reset" button
Set 'Emboss Color' to 'Original Color'
Press OK to apply effect
12. Create a mask from the modified text.
Press the "Create Mask" button or [Mask] / [Create from Objects] or (CTRL-M)
13. Create a new object
Press the "New Object" button in the 'Objects Docker' or [Object] / [Create] / [New Object]
14. Fill the new object with Bitmap Fill: NATUR01M.CPT
Select [Edit] / [Fill] to open the "Edit Fill & Transparency" window
Click on the "Bitmap Fill" button
Click the "Edit" button to open the "Bitmap fill" window.
Click the "Load" button, search for NATUR01M.CPT and press OK
Click "OK" to apply the fill
Recommended Variation:
Fill in Uniform Fill: White
15. Feather the new filled object by 20 pixels with linear edges
Select [Object] / [Feather] or (CTRL-Shift-F) to open the "Feather" window
Define: Width: 20, Edges: Linear
Press OK to apply effect
16. Select the original text object (Named 'Cactus; in the 'Object Docker' window)
and apply a drop shadow
Note that it tries to load a file from CD #1 and assumes this is your
D drive. You may need to edit the script to change to the correct drive
letter for your system. You need to place the script in the
x:\drawfolder\photopnt\scripts folder. Replace x:\drawfolder with the
appropriate path on your system.
Note also that the author, Austin Schibler, of this script is only 14! You
can visit his Web site at http://afreak.webjump.com
For this particular image a brown, beige, sand or otherwise 'sand-color'
looking background works the best. A wood background is also good.
Good Bitmap fills are for example: BREADM.CPT, PAPER06M.CPT, PAPER14M.CPT
To change the background:
Select the background in the 'Objects Docker' window. (A red frame
will be around the background image)
Select [Edit] / [Fill] to open the "Edit Fill & Transparency" window
Click on the "Bitmap Fill" button
Click the "Edit" button to open the "Bitmap fill" window.
Click the "Load" button, search for PAPER14M.CPT and press OK
Click "OK" to apply the fill
18. Combine all objects with the background
Ready, now if I could only find my Tequila bottle...
