CD-ROM Labels: Design, Cut, & Install From Glossy Photo Paper

In this article we are going to learn how to design and cut those round circles for CD-R or CD-RW Labels and install them to the disc.

I have used several types of pre-cut labels with CorelDRAW and by overprinting them as most other label maker programs do, have arrived with some success. One of the drawbacks was that if I wanted to design a thin outline around the outside edge of a pre-cut label, or the inside edge and have all align up properly before printing I really had to be precise. My printer had to be calibrated to the label sheets and sometimes I ruined a few sheets in the process. I decided why not cut my own, and then I would not have to be as precise in my printer calibration, and I could cut away. Plus it would be cheaper to purchase Glossy Photo Paper than the more expensive pre-cut labels. In the process I would have fun, and that is what it is all about! Below will be the first examples of what you will need.
