NEW Clipart CD Drive Copier: Automatically copies clip art from a CD and creates a virtual CD image on your hard drive. This enables Smart Designer users to install the clip art on their Smart Designs CD’s and use the interactive features of the Clip Art Browser without having the CD in the drive.

NEW Object Cleanup: Clean up vector artwork by selecting an object(s) and automatically convert it to a perfect square, circle or ellipse. Type set text by automatically replacing individual letters or lines of traced text with a live font.

NEW Interactive Fit Text to Path Tool: This enhanced feature greatly improves the old method of fitting text to path. Circle text and arches are now routine. The offset from the path and location on the path can now be set by simply dragging a control point. This feature will help anyone producing logos or graphics with circle text or arches.

NEW AND IMPROVED Publish to PDF: New security options for PDF Files including password protection, print and edit permissions and support for Acrobat 6. User is no longer required to purchased Adobe Acrobat for additional security and formatting options. New enhancements include full transparency and spot color support.

NEW AND IMPROVED EPS Import Filter: The EPS import filter has been greatly enhanced. EPS files can now be previewed when All Files is selected. In addition, a new window pops up during the import process allowing a choice between importing bitmap or vector data. Text can now be imported as text or converted to curves during the import. This new filters dramatically improves EPS compatibility with other graphics applications including Illustrator, Freehand and popular sign programs. This feature will be especially useful for promotional products distributors or suppliers.

NEW Smart Fill Tool: Select a fill or outline color from the Property Bar and drop this color onto multiple objects. Allows you to color objects that are combined and will automatically create a new vector object from white space. This feature makes coloring clip art much easier.

NEW Text Height and Width: The height and width of text is now displayed on the Property Bar when text is selected. Text size can be changed by entering a height or width value. There is also a proportional scaling box that will prevent the image from distorting when a value is changed. This is a terrific function for screen printers and sign makers that want to enter text as a height value as opposed to a point value.

NEW AND IMPROVED Interactive Contour Tool: Vastly improved with no excess nodes produced during contouring. Is also much faster and does not bog down machine. This feature is awesome for creating cuttable text effects.
