Graphics Unleashed ToolbarGraphics Unleashed has developed a browser toolbar that puts often used tools in either Firefox or Internet Explorer. To download the toolbar, just click the button at right. A sample of the toolbar is shown below. Note that it contains dynamic elements so what you see will change on a regular basis. Each of the elements is described lower on this page. For those who have questions about the security and privacy of the toolbar, we'll also answer those questions lower on the page.
Toolbar FeaturesEach of the features of the toolbar are described below from left to right. Note that Graphics Unleashed can update the toolbar at any time with new features and these features will be shown to you the next time you restart your browser. The list below could change slightly if the toolbar is updated. Graphics Unleashed icon: The main purpose of the icon is to brand the toolbar. If you click on it, it will take you to the Graphics Unleashed home page. Search box and icon: Type in the search term you desire and press the green magnifying glass icon to search the Graphics Unleashed Web site. Graphics Unleashed Blog Feed: The latest posts in the Graphics Unleashed blog will randomly be listed. Clicking the down arrow the left of the post titles will give you the option to refresh the list or to see the entire list. Clicking the post title will take you to the full post. Graphics Unleashed Facebook page: Clicking this icon will take you to the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page. Foster's Twitter feed: Clicking this icon will take you to Foster's twitter page. Unleashed menu: Clicking this will drop down a menu of the most visited dynamic pages on the Graphics Unleashed Web site. You'll also find a link to shop for the latest products at the Corel eStore at the best prices currently available. Graphics Unleashed will earn a commission from Corel if you purchase after clicking this link. Personal Facebook: If you allow the toolbar access to your Facebook account, you'll see the latest wall posts from your friends. There is also a small menu taking you to your personal Facebook page. Personal Twitter: If you allow the toolbar access to your Twitter account, you can tweet right from the toolbar. A menu will show you the latest tweets from people you follow. Shop at Amazon: Clicking this icon will take you to the Amazon.com home page. Should you purchase anything during your visit, Graphics Unleashed will earn a small commission. We have no way of knowing who bought any specific product.
Alexa Web Site Traffic Rank: The Alexa Web Site Traffic Rank will be shown for the page you are currently reading if you click on the icon. The lower the number, the more popular the site. An example of the traffic rank for the page where the toolbar is hosted is shown at right. Rankings are constantly changing based on traffic to any specific site. This traffic is measured by the toolbar.
Options: Clicking the icon on the far right will give you a menu of options regarding the toolbar. One of those choices is Options that brings up the dialog box at right. By default, all of the options are checked. Alexa requires us to leave them checked. You are welcome to uncheck any of the options and your choices will be remembered. Alexa, owned by Amazon.com, does track the sites you visit to determine the ranking of sites. Graphics Unleashed does not receive any information about the sites you visit and Alexa uses the information in aggregate only. Security and Privacy InformationSome security software will flag the toolbar as a security risk because it does track the sites you visit. We have been using a variation of it at Graphics Unleashed for quite some time and we are comfortable with Alexa tracking this data. Below is a quote from Alexa on exactly what they collect and it contains a link to examples. "Automatic Information We Collect From the Toolbar Service: When you use the Toolbar Service, we collect information about the websites you visit and the advertisements that you see on those websites, the searches you perform using search engines and when you use the "search" function of the Toolbar Service, the ways in which you use various Toolbar Service features (including whether the Toolbar Service is still installed on your computer), and the pages you view. [Click here] to see examples of what we collect. Although this information may contain some personally identifiable information, Alexa does not use it to determine the identity of individual users or correlate it to your email address or other personally identifiable information that you give us or our affiliates, except as required by subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements." We also invite you to visit Alexa's privacy policy. Should you decide you no longer want to use the toolbar, you can uninstall it completely.
The only information about toolbar usage received by Graphics Unleashed is the number of users who have installed or are actively using the toolbar. An example of those stats (before we launched the toolbar) is shown at right. In short, we will have no idea that you personally have installed the toolbar and what you do with it. We do welcome your feedback on the toolbar. If there are things you would like us to add, please contact us and let us know what you would like to see.
