Checking in from Southern Oregon, Tracy Pori runs a small freelance graphic Art and Web design business from her home. Dedicated to raising her kids, Tracy has managed to stay out of a formal office for the past 10 years. Instead, she makes her living with her little business and as a freelance writer for Future Publishing UK magazine, Digital Photography Effects and has been writing for them since way back in issue 1 where the magazine was called Digital Photography Techniques. She started writing 8 years ago when she wrote the weekly PSP Tips for PC Magazine online.
Tracy's formal education has nothing to do with graphic art, and everything to do with nursing. She took up graphic art after her final son was born (Tracy has 5 sons to her credit) and she knew she was home for the long haul. Self taught, she is proficient in Paint Shop Pro, having used it since version 5 and a beta tester since version 7, Photoshop versions 5 through CS, CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT, Ulead PhotoImpact, and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
