We had such a great experience with our Boot Camp Cruise to the Caribbean in January, 2007 that we have put together another cruise. This gives you the opportunity to get some phenomenal CorelDRAW training while enjoying exotic locales! This class will take place from January 17-24, 2009 on the Norwegian Star cruise ship traveling roundtrip from the Los Angeles, California along the Mexican Riviera.

This is the perfect time for you to take your family on a great vacation while you gain productivity on your favorite software. Join them for fun in the sun in between training sessions. Have them join us for our group dinners or planned excursions. They are all welcome on the ship; however, only those registered for Boot Camp will be part of the training.

For those of you still using older versions of CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT, there is still a lot of great information to be learned. Yes, we'll cover some of the new features so that you can see if the upgrade is right for you, but we also cover the features users of all versions need to know to increase their productivity.

All of this training for only $699!

The Format and Instructors

All of our training is done "hands off" so that you're not constantly waiting on someone else to correct their errors. We use state-of-the-art equipment and project onto a giant screen thereby allowing the students at the back of the room to see as well as those in the front. It's just as if you were looking over our shoulder. All this adds up to the fact that you will get more information in a shorter period of time so you can put it to use the minute you get back to the office. We've done over ninety boot camps so we have a very good grasp of the information users need and do our very best to get that information to boot campers

CorelDRAW Boot Camp Instructor Jeff Harrison -- CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT Expert

This class will be taught by Foster D. Coburn III (at left) and Jeff Harrison (at right). Foster has co-authored nine best-selling books on CorelDRAW and has taught thousands of users how to get the most out of their graphics at hundreds of seminars held throughout the world and through this Web site. Jeff is a working graphic artist who consults with several print shops in his city as well as serving his own clients. These shops call him in for the tough jobs their in-house artists would rather not touch. He has produced artwork for almost every type of output imaginable. He's also a professional musician and audio engineer. He has authored many of the popular tutorials available on the Graphics Unleashed Web site and in our CorelDRAW Unleashed magazine.

The Classroom

All training will be held in the Cinema on Deck 12. This room features a huge screen, comfortable seats with folding tables and an excellent sound system. Don't worry, we won't fill all 151 seats so every student will have a great view of everything taught.

The cruise line is only blocking our special rooms at the special group rates until November 2nd. After they release our rooms, it will most likely cost more to get a cabin and it may be too late to get on the boat. The ship for our August 2007 cruise sold out five months before sailing! Don't wait, book your travel now!

Travel Information

As this class takes place on a cruise ship, you must sign up for the cruise first! When the boat is full, we can't add anyone to the class.

We have negotiated some amazing cruise rates for those traveling in our group. Inside staterooms are $599.23* per person, Outside staterooms are $749.23* per person and Balcony staterooms are $949.23* per person. Other rooms types are available on request. To book your space on the cruise, please call John Herrera at The Cruise Web. His number is (800) 377-9383 x247 or (240) 487-0155 x247 or download the registration form and fax it to John. The Cruise Web hours are Mon-Fri 8am-9pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 10am-5pm (EST).

* Port taxes of $140, government taxes of $51.23 and a fuel surcharge of $49 are included in the prices shown (that's $240.23 in total). Prices are in US dollars and are per person, based on double occupancy. Trip Insurance can be purchased for $59 per person on an inside stateroom, $69 on an outside stateroom and $79 on a balcony stateroom.

The Cruise Web has several people who are interested in joining us on the cruise, but they would prefer to share a room with another Boot Camper. If you are traveling alone and would be willing to share a cabin with another Boot Camper, please contact The Cruise Web (see contact info above) and let them know.

The cruise will require that you have a passport. This process can take a month or two, so get started now if you don't already have one.

Please let us know what you would like to learn, and we will do our best to include what you want!

Testimonials

“In my opinion, your choice of topics and depth of exploration were exactly what I was looking for. Your presentation could not have been better. Your energy level just about knocked us out, but it kept me tracking for the entire three days. Well worth the cost!"”
Art Altenburg
—February 2006 Boot Camper

“You do a great job covering basics and still showing advanced users tips and tricks at the same time!”
—December 2002 Camper

“Can't tell you how many things I learned in Boot Camp that I use almost everyday...and I think I'm just scratching the surface of Corel's power. Hardly anyone I know or work with uses Corel, but I find it a powerhouse software. Thanks for being there and for all you do!”
Jim Luff
—December 2004 Boot Camper

“Having learned a tremendous amount of valuable information will allow me to design faster which translates to more projects, that translates to more profit.”
—December 2004 Camper

“From the 1st day it's been totally worth it!!!”
—February 2003 Camper

“Best training seminar I've ever attended. It's obvious that Foster is an authority on CorelDRAW and one of its biggest proponents. He was not afraid to point out its weaknesses, however. The real examples shown and his willingness to answer our questions about our own situations was very helpful.”
—September 2005 Camper

“Wish I had this years ago, would have saved hours and hours of time.”
—August 2005 Camper

“CorelDRAW 11 Unleashed Boot Camp was absolutely the best training I've had in 40 years.

I have attended a lot of professional training courses on various subjects over the past 40 years. Some of the courses were hands-on and some were lecture. Some were one day courses and some lasted as long as two weeks. None of the courses provided as much usable information as three days of CorelDRAW 11 Unleashed Boot Camp. The teaching method and visual aids were excellent. The full color handout is a great reference guide as well as a practice guide for exercises covered in class. Even though a vast amount of information was covered in a short period of time, it was presented in such a way that I was able to retain much of the information.

I struggled two years with CorelDRAW and was not able to scratch the surface of the product potential. CorelDRAW 11 Unleashed Boot Camp training turned the light on for me, showing the many ways to use the product. With the shortcuts I've learned, I can now do projects in less than half the time it took me previously.

Boot Camp is a must for CorelDRAW users regardless of the amount of Corel Draw experience.”

Introduction to Pro Show Gold/Producer: Develop an overall vision and participate in a compelling motion presentation with story boarding. Understand element inventory and acquisition. Discover digital audio basic theory. Jeff's Note: "Years ago, I worked with Steinberg Canada as a 'Product Evangelist'. Chances are excellent that I can answer any possible question you may have regarding MIDI or digital audio." Learn how to record and capture audio from a variety of input sources.
