Unleashed FX X4 includes three hundred special effects that can easily be applied to any object in Corel PHOTO-PAINT X4 or simply created in the font of your choice. If you have, Corel PHOTO-PAINT 11, you'll want Unleashed FX 11. If you have, Corel PHOTO-PAINT 12, you'll want Unleashed FX 12. If you have, Corel PHOTO-PAINT X3, you'll want Unleashed FX X3. For those with Corel PHOTO-PAINT 9, we have a version for you. Unleashed FX is not available for any other versions of Corel PHOTO-PAINT.
So that you'll see how powerful they are, let's run through the process of using one of the FX. When you run Unleashed FX, you'll get the dialog box shown at left. If you aren't sure what to do next, just click on Help and you'll get instructions on how to proceed. Unleashed FX X3 installs a toolbar (see above) that makes it very easy to run the program and to access the documentation.
We'd like to create some cool looking text. So we'll type in the text we want in the text entry box. Type in anything you want, we'll use "FX" as an example. Once you've chosen the text you want, click on the Fonts button to get the dialog box at right. Now you can choose from any font you have installed on your system at any size. Note that we suggest you keep the font size at no less than 72 points to get the best looking results. You can always resize the text object after creating it if you want something smaller. The list of font sizes stops at 72 points so you have to type in the value for larger sizes.
When you have the text and font chosen, click the "Apply" button and a new Corel PHOTO-PAINT file will be created with the cool looking text as a floating object. The result of this example is shown at left. We used 96 point Futura XBlk BT with "FX" as our text. Total time to create this cool effect was about 20 seconds!
That's great, but what if you don't want text? No problem. Prior to running Unleashed FX, create an object in Corel PHOTO-PAINT. Make sure that object is selected when you run UFX. Now instead of typing text and choosing a font, simply choose the "Apply to Existing Object" radio button and the chosen effect will be applied to your selected object. An example of applying it to a simple button shape is shown at right.
Remember that these FX are only for the English version of Corel PHOTO-PAINT X4. They do not work in any other versions.
So that you can get the most out of Unleashed FX X4, we have created detailed documentation explaining how to install Unleashed FX, use the many FX, modify the FX in a variety of ways and how to uninstall Unleashed FX.
Download a printable catalog for all the FX! This catalog will help you to see all the great FX you get for one low price! An example page is shown at right. All of the documentation is saved in PDF format. To make downloading easier, the PDF file is then zipped. If you don't already have a program for extracting zip files, we highly recommend Winzip.
